1Malaysia Linux is intended to provide a free and open source distro to prove that Malaysians can also take part in the Linux distribution. The aim of the development is to develop a simple Linux environment that is small in size and ease to use. Created around September 2007. simpleLinux is a Slackware based, and using the Slax technology such as hotplug etc.. 1Malaysia Linux’s goal is to preserve and enhance this unity in diversity which has always been our strength and remains our best hope for the future, in the development. I hope this distribution will initiate an open and vital dialogue exploring our ability on to take part on the Linux world. Each of us — despite our differences — shares a desire for a better tomorrow. Each of us wants opportunity, respect, friendship, and understanding. We are able to show the world what we can do.
